Staples-Motley residents can vote on or before Election Day, Tuesday, April 14.
Vote Early, Starting February 27
Have a ballot mailed to you and return it by mail or in person, or visit the Staples-Motley School District office (905 4th St. NE, Staples, MN 56479) to vote in early person.
Vote Early In Person
All district residents can vote early in person through Monday, April 13. In-person early voting is available at the Staples-Motley School District office on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Vote Early via Absentee Ballot
Step 1: Request an absentee ballot
Option 1: Fill out printed application and send it to the district office.

Once the form is received by the district, an absentee ballot will be mailed to your address. We recommend requesting your ballot at least 2 weeks before Election Day to account for time in the mail.
Step 2: Fill out your ballot at home
Follow the directions to complete your ballot.
Step 3: Return your ballot by mail or in person
Mail your ballot to the district office or drop it off during in-person voting hours.
Completed ballots must be received by Tuesday, April 14, to be counted.
Vote on Election Day: Tuesday, April 14
Vote on Election Day between 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM at the Staples Community Center (425 4th St NE, Staples, MN 56479). All voters in the district can cast their ballots at this location.
Make sure to register! You must be registered to vote to cast your ballot in the referendum. If you are not registered, you can do so online or at your polling place on Election Day.
